Quoted me $600 to transport from AZ to IL.
Asked for $200 DEPOSIT on credit card. Seemed reasonable.
Car was picked up by truck driver. Then I heard nothing for three days.
I called Michael, the broker, and he gave me the truck driver's phone number.
I called the truck driver and he said car would be delivered in twelve hours- TWO STATES AWAY.
I scrambled to get a vehicle and another person to go get my vehicle.
The driver wouldn't release my car without paying $600 in cash.
When I called the broker to complain, he THEN started calling the first $200 an additional FEE.
He promised "door-to-door" just like his web site promises. Instead, he contracted with trucker to take my car two states away. Broker explained that my home in IL isn't on a main route.
I should have been charged LESS than the quote; instead he scammed me out of MORE than the quote and made me travel two states away to get my vehicle.
And he cussed me on the phone when I had the nerve to complain, so I disconnected the call.
I then found numerous complaints about Wallberg online, too late for me.
Hope it's not too late for you.
I'm contacting the Attorney General in FL. This is interstate FRAUD and demands investigation. An attorney should initiate a class-action lawsuit.
The trucking company said this broker has many complaints but they're all on the CONSUMER side. In other words, he doesn't cheat the truckers like some brokers do. He only cheats the consumers. The representative at the trucking company also said he probably is able to determine whether the customer will be a one-time customer before cheating them.
