After doing my research and talking to this company I felt pretty comfortable with having them transport my car in a reliable matter. They answered all my questions and got back to me if they weren't sure about something quickly.......all until they got paid and my car was loaded onto the truck.

To start things off, the driver charged a little more money than the quote I received when originally contracting through United Auto Movers (UAM), even though the vehicle was not overweight nor damaged by any means. A family member was present at the time of vehicle pickup (I was traveling) and signed a paper with the driver's agreement so I did not argue it too much afterwards.

A few days after pickup, the driver informs me that he will be in the area early on a Tuesday morning. I told UAM the car NEEDED to be delivered no earlier than that Saturday because I wouldn't be in town and didn't think anyone would be able to pick it up. UAM assured me this wouldn't be an issue. I told this to the driver and he said that UAM never told him this information.

I called UAM to have them take care of it, they told me that the driver had received the delivery information and was lying. Basically, instead of fixing the problem (which is what they should be doing for the fee I paid them) they pointed fingers back and forth. The driver told me my car would continue on to California if no one was there to receive it, and who knows when I would have ever gotten it back.

Any attempts I made to contact UAM and express my concerns were useless. They never returned a single call once my car was being transported despite the fact that I left them several messages letting them know how displeased I was. Luckily for me, my roommate in AZ didn't have to be at work early on that Tuesday like he was expecting so he was able to receive the car and pay the driver. I don't want to know what would have happened if my roommate wasn't available.

Don't be fooled by UAM's service at first. As soon as they have your money, they could care less about what happens to your vehicle.
