I chose Triple A Auto Transport because their delivery price estimate was right in the middle of all estimates that I received via email from dozens of other companies. Their quote was $800 to ship my Mercury Grand Marquis from Florida to Washington State. Very reasonable I thought.
Once I filled out the simple online form and made the $175 deposit via email, that was it. Easy. I received a nice phone call from Triple A Auto Transport to verify some details, and got all pertenate phone and contact numbers. All the info that I needed. They picked up my car very fast and delivered on time, even though I could barely understand the heavy Russian the driver spoke, but he understood me. And all ended fine.
The car arrived dirty, but that's to be expected on an open carrier. When I arrived, the car was sitting on the ground and running, very nice.
I've had many cars shipped from all over the States. There has been a pattern developing, and it makes me mad... Now here's my complaint; I have asked the seller how much gas is in the car before it is picked up. Most of the time the car has at least 1/8 of a tank, many cars much more. When I receive the car, it has absolutley no gas in it whatsoever... They ALL arrive below E !!! 100% of them. Maybe 1 gallon. So beware if you are receiving a vehicle in a remote area... bring a gas can with gas in it. And I always check the mileage to see NO 'Joy-Riding' took place.
Now I don't blame the shippers. It's the drivers that are making extra cash, and I can't blame them one bit either. If they have 10 cars on their trailer, and each average a half a tank, that's alot of easy cash in their pocket. But I think it's dishonest, nor moral.
As for Triple A Auto Transport, they are a fine company. I will use them again. Dave Acosta
