I was referred to this company (and in particular to Gilbert) by my mom who had previously used this company to transport her vehicle without any issue. Which is why it is important that you read on so that you DO NOT let Transport US Inc. steal $$$ from you too!
I own a BMW and my car has been in storage in San Diego since I moved out of state for a job in the winter on 2013. I explained to Gilbert that the car would have to be picked up on 16-18 May because my father works remotely and would only be in town on these days to open the unit in which my vehicle is stored.
Gilbert assured me that would happen and then deducted a payment of $104 from my account (with another $600 to pay the drivers upon delivery).
On the Friday of pick-up my vehicle was neither picked up nor was my father contacted as Gilbert said he would be once the drivers were en route.
On Saturday when I found out that my car was still awaiting pick-up, I called Gilbert and left a message and then called back and spoke directly to him. He made a call and then called me back saying that the company he contracted with had apologized for an error they made. Later I found out that the excuse was they had multiple BMWs to pick-up and mistakenly thought they had also picked mine up. A fact that Gilbert himself also said was a "BS" excuse! Late on Saturday night my father was contacted by the transportation company hired by Gilbert to move my car and they assured him they would be there on Sunday between 5-8pm which was fine because my father was still in town and the car could be moved from storage during that time. Well guess what... the scheduled time on Sunday came and went, again with no contact from the drivers.
Again, I made multiple calls to and left messages for Gilbert (with no reply). After 10pm on that same Sunday night my father received a call from an unknown person saying that he would drive from Los Angeles in the middle of the night and arrive in San Diego to pick up my vehicle around 1230-100am on Monday morning 19 May! ABSOLUTELY NOT!
After contacting Gilbert numerous times to get a refund, he finally answered and agreed I was owed a refund, which would have been the honorable and correct thing to do, since HE chose the company to transport my vehicle and that never occurred (and no he still has not refunded my money)... I WILL NOT do business with Transport US Inc. (nor Auto Transport Service 4u Inc). This company's lack of integrity, lack of honor and their incompetence should NOT be trusted with your one of your most important assets!!! BE WARNED.

Mr. Smith was advised that a 3 day window is needed for the pick up of his vehicle. The 3 day window was Fri. - Sun. The driver wanted to pick the vehicle up on Friday but Mr. Smith informed me that he would not be there on Friday narrowing his own window by 1 day. The driver rearranged his pickups and left Mr. Smith for last after already being on route. He contacted Mr. Smith Sunday night to pick the vehicle at 10:00pm, which is not customary but everything was rearrange to adjust to Mr. Smith's Changes. When the driver called Mr. Smith to let him know he was approaching he told him not to bother because it was too late. So after agreeing to a 3 day window Mr. Smith really wanted to keep his vehicle until the last possible moment and the declined the carrier because in his opinion the vehicle should have been picked up Sunday between 10:00am and 8:00pm essentially only giving us a 10 Hour window. Unfortunately this is not how things work. The deposit was non refundable as of the moment he refused the pick up on Friday. The driver was nice enough not to cancel and charge us for a dry run. And rescheduled him for his final pickup just to have Mr. Smith tell him not to bother. Not a nice thing to do after someone has gone out of their way to help you. At the end of the day we lost as the broker because at this point we did have to compensate the driver for a dry run. The driver lost because he had to continue his route one vehicle short. And Mr. Smith simply cancelled. I could not return his deposit.
