I made the mistake of putting my information online to get a quote. Frank from Transport Services was one of the first people to get in touch with me. In the end I decided to use their company based on the fact that I was told that:
1) they own and operate their trucks
2) they are NOT brokers
3) my car will be on one of their own trucks on a frequent route
4) they are stellar in terms of communication and customer service and you can track your car the entire journey online!

In reality, the $150 "deposit" to reserve/hold my spot on one of their direct carriers, was actually their brokers fee. I will echo what recent posters have said, you are told what you want to hear to reassure you enough to give them your business. Once delivery was scheduled I never heard from anyone again, despite multiple phone calls and emails to their "stellar" customer service line/email/whatever they are running. It is enough stress to move a significant distance, but to add the stress of not being able to speak to anyone or have your concerns/questions addressed is unfair.

My car was picked up 4 days after Transport Services told me it would be. It was delivered in the exact time frame the actual movers gave me. My car got to it's destination in one piece and safely because of the reliable company they eventually contracted my work to. I will be dealing with that company DIRECTLY in the future. With this company, I really don't know what the truth is at this point. Take the time to verify who you're dealing with, it will save you additional stress.
