Bill Avrich runs a one-man dynamo of a transport agency. He put me in direct contact (through a conference call) with my potential driver, helped negotiate pick-up and drop times and locations, and then booked the order - all in the first phone call!! Our car was a new 2010 Ford Focus, and the move was across the country from Los Angeles to New Hampshire on an open carrier. I had the cellphone number of the driver and was able to contact him easily before the pick-up, received a status from him during the move, and then made very simple pick-up arrangements - he was courteous, flexible, picked up our car a day early (which worked great for us) and was patiently waiting for us at the pick-up point at the exact time promised. DO NOT make the mistake of answering any of the internet ads that promise you "the lowest price" with a variety of carriers to choose from - you will be buried with spam and phone calls for weeks afterwards, and even if you DO respond to an "offer", chances are you will be unable to complete the deal or be constantly shuffled around, NEVER have any idea who is going to actually transport your vehicle and be subjected to mind-numbing frustration. We know, because my fiance tried to make the auto shipping arrangements herself that way and was very sorry she did. When she finally gave up, I came onto this site, read the reviews, and called Bill. He's a great guy, knows the business well, has cultivated good relationships with some excellent drivers, and delivers first-class service. He even followed up with a phone call to make sure everything had gone according to plan! Highly recommended!!!!
