Very bad experience so far... have a contract for delivery of my 1996 Subaru to El Dorado Hills from Indiana for $650. Ray Mazzo took a $150 deposit over the phone ,and I have a contract showing the COD owed is $500. Driver called earlier today to deliver my car by 7:00PM tonight and now wants $850. Explained that I have a contract for $650 and will give them the cash of $500 when they arrive. Told me that they believe that my contract is for $650,but Ray told them $850. AND of course, no one at Summit Transport Group is not returning calls...What are they going to do? Hold my car hostage? Obviously they are a dishonest company ,and if my car is not delivered in good condition for the contract price,I will have to take legal action . This should be a good lesson for these drivers. Confirm the price with the customers before you load the vehicle on the rig.
...Well,after much misery my car was delivered by Century 21 Transport, who Summit contracted with. Summit told Century 21 that they were to collect $850. So that is the way Summit rolls. Tells the customer one price & the trucking company another. Needless to say after much arguing with the trucking company, the driver delivered the car,was nice and polite, and we paid him $500 as the contract stated.
