My name is Mike, I originally contracted with an internet broker (first one to pop up) to ship my new 32 Ford Coupe from New Hampshire to California. I was given a GREAT price and told they have trucks running weekly and the sooner I give my $200 deposit, the sooner it gets on a truck. Well after 4 weeks of phone tag and excuses with the broker and having to have my car towed to a storage location, I called Max Seymour at State By State. Max listened to my story for just about 30 seconds and then was able to tell me what has happened as this is typical of frustrated customers. My original broker gave me a great price $1,275, took his $200 off the top and left $1,075 available for my Classic 32 Ford Coupe to be hand loaded to an enclosed trailer and shipped across the country. This car was posted on a pick up board for a month. No driver was interested as the price available for the trucking company was 30 percent lower than the going rate for this type of transportaiton. Max laid it on the line and was real honest in telling me how it really works and what the fees actually are.

This was a Saturday morning. I signed up with State by State that morning and agreed the total cost of inoperatable covered transport to be $1700 total. Max told me he would push real hard to get this car moved ASAP but the Northwest was under a horrible storm. Long story short, the next Monday (2 days after contracting with State by State) my car was on it's way to me. The trucking company they used was Roan Trucking, Inc. The driver name was Clark. Now this guy was so pleasant and careful with my car and the others he had to unload to get mine off. He even made sure his hands and shoes were clean before he got into each car.
I highly reat State by State and its companies they use. Thank you Max and Clark for turning my nightmare into my dream come true.
