Saddened by company experience

Recently tried to use State2state to ship my car cross country and after 2 weeks of failure to pick up the car, had to conclude that this is a bait and switch company. The quoted price offered to hook me was claimed to be the national average. However, after I made the deposit, the actual prices offered to me were significantly (>20%) higher than quoted price.

Sales assistant disappeared after deposit was placed. I Left messages which were not returned and was left to deal with dispatch services. Dispatch tried to help me, but would offer me options such as, "can you drive your car to LA for pickup?" I live in Santa Barbara. That's a looooong way to go for "door to door delivery."

I wanted/needed to work with this company because I had flown across the country and my car was sitting in my friends driveway. After 2 weeks of sitting there, I finally cancelled everything and started over with a new company. I was very sad to have wasted my time with state2state. The dispatch person sounded nice, but she's working for a very dishonest company.

We apologize for the order not moving on the timeframe requested by the customer, but all brokers need to wait till any driver doing the route confiurms a fulload or confirm the route itself. The area where she was located for pickup was not busy with many customers moving vehicles, so drivers were not leaving from that area and were leaving more form the Los Angeles area where there was more traffic coming out. We tried to confirm a driver to gether car picked up from her location and gave the customer other options as well to move the car in a timely manner. The deposit was NEVER ran on her credit card and we never un deposits until the driver is confirmed for pickup. So we do the owrk for FREE until we have the driver confirmed for pick up with our customer. Unfortunelty, we depend on the drivers doing these routes to confirm the schedule for locations and we do the best we can to move all vehicles on time due to all drivers. We understand the frustration on the customer and that is why we never charged her anything at all.
