After getting several quotes from various companies, I had already chosen another company that was going to contact me when they confirmed a truck, when JP Pier from State 2 State called. I igored his first few calls since I already had someone lined up; then he texted and said he had trucks in the Albuquerqe area. I gave him a call, and he assured me that he could get my vehicle picked up tomorrow or the day after that for sure. We settled on the day after, which was the Friday before Labor Day. Friday came and went with no call from State 2 State. They were closed for the 3 day holiday weekend and I couldn't get in touch with anyone. On Tuesday, I called 4 times, and left 3 messages. Two for JP, and one in the general mailbox. I finally got a call back from Alina. JP never returned my call. Then the excuses started. The first two days it was because of the holiday weekend. She also explained to me on Wednesday that they have no way of being able to quote a customer an exact date of pickup, due to the fact that they are a broker and they just post the jobs and wait for a driver needing a pickup to take it. Someone should explain this to JP. Then on Thursday it turns out that I'm in a bad area and trucks just don't get by here often (I am located right off the interstate, halfway between Dallas and Shreveport, and I see several car haulers pass here DAILY). I told them if the car didn't get picked up by the next day, I was going to have to wait another month, due to the seller traveling for the next few weeks (I had explained this to JP during our first conversation...he assured me this wouldn't be a problem). Finally, on Friday at about 2 pm, Alina called and said they had a truck that might be able to get it loaded, but I would have to meet the driver in Dallas at 7:00 the next morning. This put me in a bad situation, due to the last minute-ness of it, since most people have already made weekend plans by that time- I didn't figure I would be able to find someone to drive me up there. I asked how this was going to affect my rate, since I would be taking 140 miles off of the driver's trip. IT WAS GOING TO COST ME $100 DOLLARS MORE! Go figure. At this point, I told them to forget about it, that I would find someone else to do the job. I feel sorry for Alina; the unscrupulous salespeople (or at least JP-I can't speak for the other salespeople) make promises that can't be kept, then she gets to be the one to handle the angry customers.

In a nutshell....these folks will tell you anything to get your business and won't deliver. If they had just been honest up front and said "We can't really say when your car will get picked up" or "You're just not really in an area that our drivers travel on a regular basis", there wouldn't have been a problem. But if they had said that, I would have stayed with the company that I had originally decided on. And I would have been better off. They didn't make any crazy promises that they couldn't keep. The old saying is true..."If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

We did have a driver in the area getting his load put together, but was not able to get a full load right away, since not enough cars were leaving her area. All the drivers we work with are independent drivers and we must wait till they confirm their full load. We worked with other drivers trying to get someone to get a full load as fast as possible to get her car picked up. We did all we could to get a driver confirmed and her car moved asap! The customer cancelled the order with us and we never transported her car. Any broker would have had the same issue if the route was not busy enough for a driver to get a full load to transport. We did all we could and were in contact with her at all times on status.
