Not happy with transport

I was not happy with the transporter Speciality Mobile selected for my cross country move from IL to CA. The name of the company they brokered my care to was TNT. I would highly recommend you not use that specific carrier, I can't judge others just that one.

My car was picked up 12/17/04 and it was to be delivered in 10 to 14 days. My car did not get delivered until JAN 5!!!! 19 days later. I had to hound TNT to find out why it was late and they woulnd't return my calls. Don was my contact and he was the worst. Finally another customer service rep I spoke to tell me it didn't even get out of IL until 12/22. They almost didn't reimburse me for the car rental I had to rent because they were late in delivering my car.

DO NOT USE TNT As your carrier!! I hope all of speciality mobile's carriers aren't as bad as the one I got!

When a transport order is placed, customers are advised it generally requires 7 – 10 days to assign a carrier and vehicle pickup. It generally takes 7 – 14 days to pick up and complete the move. There are cases when total transport time happens quicker; however, there are times that this process may take longer than anticipated due to equipment malfunctions. Deliveries can also be delayed due to adverse weather or road conditions especially in December traveling cross country. Additionally, this particular transport was right in the middle of the holiday season. Our number one priority is a safe and secure move, which happened. We do apologize for inconveniences that were caused to our customer. I personally talked to Don C at TNT to discuss this complaint. By attempting to better serve this customer, Don at TNT in fact authorized refunding this customers rental car expense, which is not a requirement. We at Specialty Mobile will continue to do the best job we can to service our customers. Sincerely, Amy/Specialty Mobile
