BUYER BEWARE YOUR TRANSPORT IS NOT INSURED. The first question I asked when arranginging transport was "Is my car insured?" I was assured by Specialty that it was insured. Specialty has no insurance. They are a broker. The transporter has the insurance. My car was damaged. I followed all the proper procedures to file a claim. The transporter, Outland Transport, refuses to submit a claim to his insurance company for the damage that he even admits that he did to my car. His insurer won't accept a claim from me. They say they can only accept a claim from the insuered. SO INSURANCE IS A MYTH!!! I had to submit a claim to my own insurance company and a month and a half later I still have a damaged car. Specialty can not assure you that your car is insured. And they can not make the transporter submit a claim. I will never have a car transported again.

We apologize for this customer’s poor experience and understand the customer’s frustration. Insurance is NOT a myth. Specialty Mobile is a broker and a carrier. If a vehicle is assigned to our own trucks, it is covered under our insurance. If the vehicle is assigned to a carrier that is we have brokered out, the vehicle is covered under the carriers insurance. Legally it is our responsibility to assure that we have authority permits. This customer’s vehicle was brokered out in this instance, thereby insurance coverage falls into the liability of the carrier that actually transports the vehicle. We regret that this has happened; however there is no more we can do at this point. Corry has provided insurance information to the customer as requested, and now this issue is in the hands of the customer, the carrier and the insurance company. Amy/Specialty Mobile
