You've got to remember

First of all, you have got to remember that with very few exceptions, the company that you contract with will not be the company that transports your vehicle. They are shipping brokers, so once they "sub" the job out, their hands are somewhat tied.

After having had a horrible prior experience with this system, I was reluctant to do it again. I did one of those 10 quotes from one application and the prices varied from $606 to $1,500. Quite a spread, what do I do? The option of driving 3,000 miles wasn't a good one, so I was fortunate enough to find this review site.

SMS's quote, as you can see, was right in the middle. In the end I chose them strictly on their reputation. They assigned the transport to Lepke Auto Transport who actually tried to pick the car up sooner than expected. However, it did take them over 8 days to deliver the car, slightly longer than it was supposed to.

I guess the ultimate test is: Would you do it over again? The answer is "Yes"!
