Couldn't get the job done

Short version is, Gave this company the job of moving my p/u truck from CA to TX. 30days later still no pickup date...lots of excuses, I even added $100 to deal...nothing. Called Candace with Cascade Transport and told her no deposits but would pay her if she did what "couldn't" be done by Silva. LESS than 2 days later, Candace called and had the truck picked up in less than 3 days total. Silva seemed nice enough at times explaining their excuses for their "failure to perform", but perhaps it's who you know and who knows you and maybe the truckers know Silva and don't like what they see. It just struck me a bit odd at how quickly the job got done at the same price $$$ with Candace and Cascade.
