First experience was better than the second

I first used Ship-a-Car Direct in 2017 and had a great experience. I was disappointed with the experience I had this time for a few reasons: 1) It was difficult to reach the driver and I was provided with last minute information as to when my car would be picked up. Additionally, on the day of drop off the driver called to say he was 45 minutes away, and showed up approximately 2-3 hours later. I also felt pressured by the driver not to take the “drop off photos” as recommended by Ship-a-Car Direct, which was concerning. 2) I was given an estimated drop off date by Ship-a-Car Direct, and was later told by the carrier that if I don’t accept a drop off date of three days earlier then I would need to go pick up my car at their designated yard 20-30 miles from my home. This was upsetting because I was paying for a service (door-to-door pick up/drop off) and was now being told I may need to pay more money for a cab to go to their lot to pick up my car. It ended up being a non-issue because I was able to arrive earlier than planned, but I did not appreciate being given one estimated date and then being told it needs to be three days earlier. In summary, I would consider using this company again, but I will also be looking elsewhere for alternative options if and when the time comes.
