Overall we had an "okay" experience with Ship A Car Direct. The car arrived as planned and that's the most important factor to note. After booking their was some unclarity over when the car would be picked up, which when moving across the country is frustrating. Ultimately pick up went as originally planned but the process of communicating ETAs/expectations could have been better. On delivery my experience could have been much, much better. We did not get 24 hours notice for when delivery would happen and there were some changes on the day - again tough when trying coordinate a cross country move. Driver wanted to deliver before we would be in town, we coordinated for someone to pick up on our behalf and then he ended up delivering as planned. When their brokered carrier actually delivered, the driver was rude and at first would not mark the receipt as paid! I had to insist as he was walking away, which is uncomfortable in a cash on delivery transaction. Driving an auto carrier and making deliveries is a tough job, but that process could be improved. Again, I got my car as planned but several other brokers offered lower quotes. We went with Ship A Car Direct for their service reviews, but it did not prove to be worth the added cost.

We appreciate that you took the time to share your feedback about your transport experience. Unfortunately, in this industry, lead time doesn’t help get a carrier secured sooner. We don’t guarantee dates, and always recommend having a backup plan when scheduling things. We apologize that we were not more clear about explaining the process upfront and we are working on improving that. We are sorry for the lack of communication during the transport of your vehicle and we are also sincerely sorry with the experience you had with the driver, we will surely deal with the carrier about it to improve our service.
