Excellent overall with a few caveats

I really wish I could give a 5 star review but there were a few things which made me go with 4. This is my first time shipping a car so perhaps the lack of comparison with other shippers/carriers is a factor. Good: 1) Easy to use website 2) Prompt communication (although many emails seem to be automated) 3) Free app to take photos of car before and after Not bad, but could improve: 1) A carrier was signed up for $100 more than original rate without first checking with me. 2) Carrier's insurance certificate provided was from a few months back. I asked for an updated one and I was told it would be provided. However, the new one provided was the same as the previous one! 3) Tracking function (there's a link sent in an email which allows you to track the current status out of 4 steps) doesn't work after step 2 (i.e. carrier is assigned). Our car was picked up and even delivered but the status online still showed the same status. 4) Carrier wasn't really aware of requested earliest delivery date. Perhaps they were not organized but I'd think they would have received the information from the shipper. Eventually, it worked out OK because our son was there 2 days earlier than provided delivery date so he could pick up the car. If he wasn't in town to pick up, I don't know what would have happened. 5) App didn't work the first time when we submitted the photos. Had to re-take photos and submitting a second time worked. After delivery, it worked fine on the first attempt itself. So perhaps there was some intermittent issue in the app.
