Ship a Car Direct was great, but I was less happy with the carrier. The carrier came two days after the estimated pick-up date and was much later on the pick-up day than he had said he would be, but did not let me know. I understand it's hard to predict the time exactly, so keeping in touch with updates would be helpful. I only found out the changes of day and time when I called the dispatcher myself. The truck was too big for my street something only the driver could know (I know nothing about big trucks and what streets they can fit in). I would have been happy to drive my car to a pick-up place, but this was not discussed in advance. The second driver had to drive my car away, and the whole pick-up was stressful for both me and the drivers. Still, in the end it all worked out. The car was delivered on time in good condition.
