You pay more for Ship-a-Car-Direct, but I read so many horror stories I decided to go with this service because they use "approved" drivers they've done business with before. The communications throughout the process with Ship-a-Car-Direct were excellent, and communications with the driver were as well. Though pick-up occurred two days after my ideal date, I had been told that might happen and had a friend available to sign over the car on my behalf (I'd already flown out to California). My only gripe: The driver forgot to give me a copy of the bill of lading or a receipt (and I forgot to ask). Be sure to ask for yours!
