Researching a car move is pure torture, horror story after horror story. The one thing that gave me hope was that Ship a Car Direct's CEO was personally reaching out to every customer to make it right or learn from it and make it better in the future. Because of that, I gave them a shot. My Jeep was picked up on time in California, and delivered 6 days later to New Jersey without issue. The driver was in contact with me and was great to work with.

My conclusion is that the horror stories online probably make-up the 5% of the time when things go bad. Shipping a car is never going to be fun, but if you go with an open mind, realize that you need 1-3 days leeway on either side and communicate clearly with Ship a Car Direct, they'll get it done. They're trying to fix what seems to me has been a broken business. So far, I'm impressed.

You are so right, Dan! When things go wrong, folks go online to post complaints. But it's not the same when things go right, and things go right much more often. And it's true about allowing leeway and clear communication, too! Thanks for the great review!!
