Better experience than I ever imagined

In late December, 2015, I contacted Ship A Car Direct about hauling two convertibles from Texas to South Carolina. I did extensive research and read a lot of horror stories about car moves gone wrong. However, the reviews for Ship a Car Direct were universally positive. I therefore put in a call and got through to Scott. The lack of a high pressure sales pitch helped ease my anxiety. We set up a pickup date for a few weeks away. Unfortunately I ran into a major snag in selling my house. I called Scott and told him I needed to postpone the move. No problem, he said. These things happen. Five months later I had a buyer for my home and was ready to ship the cars. I talked to Scott on a Wednesday morning. To my surprise he called back and said he had a hauling contractor lined up for the next day, which worked great for me. The contractor, John, communicated with me the next morning even as he was waiting to pick up another car 340 miles away. He told me he would be at my house at 5:30 that afternoon. At exactly 5:30 he pulled up in the longest flat bed trailer I had ever seen. He was clean-cut, friendly but business like, and obviously knew what he was doing. He gave my low slung Porsche special attention as we drove it up the ramp. He got both my cars loaded and snugged down and drove off 45 minutes after he arrived. The cars were being delivered to my sister in SC. She lives on a very steep street, making for a difficult drop-off. John arrived at an agreed upon parking lot near her house the next afternoon, 25 hours after he left my house in Texas, having covered 1200 miles. He unloaded my cars and then helped her drive them up the steep hill to her house. She sent me a photo to prove they had arrived safely. Her opinion of John, the driver, was the same as mine - A really thoughtful person. Note: I emailed Scott to let him know how happy I was with the entire transaction. I asked him where I could leave a customer review. In reply he sent the offer of a rebate if I would post a review. It did not affect my already positive opinion of Ship A Car Direct. Jon T.
