I selected ship a car direct based on BBB ratings. I did not know that they did not own the trucks at that time. The ship-a-car agent explained this and the entire process. Vehicle was due for shipment on 5th March. They could not find a carrier for shipment that weekend. It was finally shipped on the 11th night. Agent stayed in touch. I did explain to agent that I was getting anxious. At one point I was not sure if they would find a shipper. On the 10th when they found a truck they charged the initial deposit. The truck driver pulled into our neighborhood, finished all the paperwork (which was explained patiently by the agent a day earlier) and loaded the vehicle. The driver for some reason did not have the contact details for my brother who was going to receive the car. When I was reviewing the paperwork I caught that. The car arrived as promised delivered right to my brother's neighborhood. It was over all an enjoyable process. I was not in a rush. So could afford the delay in pick up time. Customer service was good. I felt they did everything they could to insure the process was hassle free.
