My contacts with both David at Ship a Car Direct and Jesus at Anthony Auto Transport, Inc. were excellent. I originally contacted Ship a Car Direct in October about a quote for shipping my car from Chicago to San Diego. The tentative quote came back very quickly, however, David said that the estimate may change since the target shipping date was several weeks in the future. (The quote did not change.)

I received several emails from David during the next few weeks, some of which linked to videos on shipping a car and were very useful. The emails included information about needing cash to pay the driver, about taking pictures of the car prior to shipping in case there was any issue when delivered. I would have never thought of taking pictures, but I think it is a very good idea. As the time got nearer, David called to tell me that Anthony Auto Transport, Inc. would contact me about the pick-up. David estimated the delivery would be on Tuesday, January 6.

Jesus from Anthony Auto called me the day before the scheduled pick-up to tell me they would pick up the car between 10 - 12 the following day. He called the following day around 11 to say they may be a little late. Jesus arrived a little after noon. He looked over the car, pointed out a couple of scratches - which I knew about, and said it was possible that depending on weather, the car would be delivered on Sunday, January 4. He drove the car to the transport truck.

I received an email from David asking if the car was picked up and if all was well. There were tremendous snow storms in the midwest and southwest during this period. Jesus called on Saturday, January 3 and said the car would not be delivered until Monday since the driver had encountered severe weather. He called again on Sunday, January 4 and said the car would be delivered on Monday morning. I had to go to work on Monday, but my husband was home and handled the delivery.

He received a call from Jesus saying the transport truck was in our town and would deliver the car in about 30 minutes. The transport truck arrived a little after noon, the car was off-loaded, my husband examined the car and saw that there were no additional scratches or bumps. Everything was fine. He paid the driver and my car is here in good shape (just a bit dirty) from being on the open transport, but otherwise just fine.

I received emails from David making sure that all was well - and it was. I was satisfied and would use them again if the need arose.
