Excellent Service from Ship A Car Direct-Will definitely use again in the future

We needed our 2002 Saturn shipped from GA to CA. I went to Transport Reviews.com and a few other websites to find a good shipping service. There were some pretty scary stuff out there..horror stories of how people had damaged cars once delivered, but Ship a Car got excellent reviews. It was nice that the website didn't make it mandatory to put your phone number down on the initial quote. I also didn't feel harassed after receiving our quote. David was super helpful and I received a quote within the day. In addition to that, I watched the videos on how the process would be to ship the car. Every time I had a question, David would respond to me promptly via email and phone (even on weekends!), which I greatly appreciated it. The only thing I was confused about and didn't really get any instruction on was how I needed to bring either cash or a cashier's check with me when my car was delivered. I found that information out from the carrier the day of getting my car back.
David stated that I would hear from the carrier a few days before the pick-up. It was two days before the pick-up and I still didn't hear from the carrier. I decided to call and spoke to Nick. He mentioned that the car will be picked up one day late, which was fine. I do not blame them since this was the week that a heavy snow storm went through GA. Once the driver got to Conyers, GA, our parents were waiting to give them the car. We heard from our parents that the driver was extremely nice, knowledgable and professional. He made sure to do a thorough check on the car before putting it on the truck. On the night before the delivery I didn't hear from the carrier again, and contacted David. David was on top of following up with the carrier. I got a call from the carrier the next morning and the car was delivered that afternoon. Again, the driver was great and safely took the car off the truck.
All in all, this experience was very pleasant. The only thing I would of liked was to have the carrier office be a little more proactive about calling me in regards to pick-up and delivery. In regards to Ship a Car and David, they are a great broker service and I would definitely use them again!

Thank you for the excellent feedback! You bring up an important (and often missed) point about payments: COD is standard. Because folks are so used to using debit/credit cards, even when we mention it, COD doesn't quite sink in. We do explain COD payments on our website FAQ page, in the terms and conditions you approve when you place your order, in the dispatch notifications and follow-up emails as well as in dispatch notifications by phone. We want you to be prepared on delivery, we don't want to keep it a secret!
