Bought my truck on the 23rd... placed my order with Tom on the 23rd. Tom explained to me that he would have a truck there in a couple days/ told the dealer the same thing. here we are on the 29th and nothing... no pick up, no call, no nothing.

So I called Tom to see what was going on... First thing out of his mouth was how bout bumping up the price? REALLY? I was warned about these scab brokers pulling this shit but, figured with "ship a car" high rating that they were on the up an up. NOT the case.

He then proceeded to get rude with me because he was able to see other bids for the same truck... stating that his bid was now redundant and told me to go with the other shippers.

Maybe had he done his job as promised to me and the dealer I wouldn't have to go to other carriers to get the job done.. of course that hasn't faired well either. Most.. if not ALL the shippers/brokers on this website give compensation for 5 star ratings. That should say something in itself

Keep in mind people if you can cut out the broker...DO IT. go straight to the carrier. brokers are like lawyers and good for one thing....NOTHING or floating in the bottom of a river. They are all salesman SCABS and con men lying to get your business.

Guess i'll head to Texas and drive it back myself

Sorry we couldn't help you, Dean, but your situation reflects a common misunderstanding about the transport industry. The truth is that carriers fill their loads with the best jobs posted on one central job board by brokers. Multiple postings with mutliple brokers for various prices is counter-productive, carriers only have time to commit with one broker offering the best price. There really isn't an option to call carriers/drivers directly, they want the protection of the broker system as much as the broker vetting out potential carriers is a benefit to the customer.
