Great Salespeople, empty promises thereafter...

The subject really says it all. I had a great "closing" experience with Rite Way however that's where the great experience stopped. I was contacted by Rite Way after filling out one of those online quote forms. They all but guaranteed me a pickup day as "we have 2 months to set it up" and "your route is popular enough to probably make that happen". GREAT I thought. This is going to work out well. WRONG.

I called a week ahead (on 8/22) of my first available date (8/29) to go ahead and open up the order for pickup (we were ahead of schedule on our move). I thought, "this will certainly help". Apparently the woman who answered the phone didn't open the order or make any note on our order. So, the car sat for a week with no activity, no progress on the board, nothing. I didn't take notes on who I spoke to as I imagined Rite Way would handle things the way they said they would. Wrong again.

I then called a week later (9/1) to check-in and found out that the car hadn't been released to the "central" board when I had asked (8/30). I was frustrated. The woman I spoke to that time promised me a call back "good, bad or indifferent" after she called some of her carriers. No call back. I called again on 9/2 leaving a message. Again, no call back.

Called again today (9/3) and the woman I spoke to saw limited notes and nothing about communicating back to the customer (me). INCREDIBLE. I now know to take notes on EVERY SINGLE COMMUNICATION. From my most recent call it seems my car might be picked-up at the very end of my initial 14 day window. By my calculation it's about a week late.

I'll keep this thread updated as things progress. Meanwhile my car continues to sit, 3k miles away.
