Incomptetent

Took too long, cost too much- and stuck with a clueless agent. Seemed to be smooth at first, with reasonable middle-of-road quote. However, I called 5 days into availability- worried- and my agent (Denise) and was reassured that nothing was wrong. I called again 7 days into availability and was told that I should add $300 to "sweeten our offer" in order to "expedite" the already-late shipment. I was upset, and- instead of helping- she counseled me on how not to be rude. I then spoke to a manager (Tony), who found and fixed the problem- a double booking with a "lowball" company that I had supposedly cancelled. I asked not to work any more with the apparently incompetent Denise. Anyway, no luck as she kept calling me.

After the problem was fixed and I had already paid the additional "expedited" $300 extra for 1-3 day service (now 8-11 day service...), she called me again, telling me that the shipment was booked 4 days out (the 12 day point). The driver actually picked it up the next day. 2 days after the vehicle was gone, Denise called me again to remind me about "tomorrow's pickup". Clearly incompetent. Fortunately, I had already connected with a great driver and didn't really need Red Carpet anymore. Driver took a bit longer than we hoped (8 days for a "4-7 day" transport), but kept us informed.

So to make a long story short, my shipment took too long and cost too much because of a double booking problem that Red Carpet failed to detect- even when I had called and voiced concern. And I couldn't stop using the annoying, incompetent Denise.

To the customer, I apologize for the unsatisfactory service. We strive to give 5 star service to everyone, but unfortunately 5 star service isnt met or it never could be met. What I'd like to tell every potential customer is that it's not a broker's job to check if you have placed an order with MULTIPLE companies. I only checked, because it escalated to me and there was something very "fishy" with the situation. I will bend over backwards for anyone of our clients and fix whatever needs fixed...if there is a problem. I do have an issue with a client that I spent a good deal of time with and fixed everything...only to have him come on here and call one of my employees incompetent. These reviews are for us to grow as a company and train our employees, but this review....I will throw in the trash.
