I had a van to be shipped from TX to CA. The agent gave a firm quote of $706 and promptly charged me $206 for deposit on 10/28. He promised the driver would call me the night before pick up - 11/02, which never happened. When I called him to inquire, he said he would check first thing next morning 11/03 and gave me an update, which he never did. When I pressed about it, he just gave a series of lies - he was at lunch, he had send kids to school, his kid was sick etc. After 12 pm on 11/03 which was 4 hours before the late pick time, he simply did not answer my call nor my text messages. The driver never called and obviously never showed up. I later learned that no drivers would take his low bid. The worst thing is that so far he refused to refund my deposit and I have yet to resolve through the issuing bank of the credit card.
