Very Easy Process

I had never used a transport service to transport a vehicle cross country so I was a little apprehensive about the whole process after hearing horror stories of moving companies who quoted one price for moving household goods and then refusing to release those goods unless a higher price was paid. I began reading reviews on this site and Orange Auto Transport had excellent reviews. They also had a short video on their website that explained the entire process. I had several transport companies that quoted me prices (some less expensive and some more expensive than Orange) but the consistency of the good reviews by previous customers of Orange Auto Transport raised my comfort level with using them. The entire process was very easy. Once I committed to using them, they asked me for a date for the earliest pickup acknowledging the fact that the actual pickup may be 3-5 days later. I think my vehicle was picked up 3 days after the first date that the vehicle was available for pickup. The driver and his assistant were very professional and indicated that the vehicle would be delivered to Portland, OR in approximately 6-7 days although the time from pickup to delivery estimated by Orange was 11 days. Orange Auto Transport asked for a small deposit prior to pickup ($140) that I was able to pay online via their website. They also advised me of the remaining balance ($1,150) to be paid in certified funds to the carrier. The only hiccup in the whole process was that my daughter in Oregon called the driver to inquire about the status of the vehicle on the 10th day and was advised that the car had been dropped off at their company location in a neighboring city. He gave my daughter the phone number of the person who had the car and that person arranged to deliver the car the next day to her downtown office. The car was in excellent shape and the carrier company accepted the agreed upon certified funds upon delivery. Fortunately, I had a great deal of flexibility in both pickup and delivery dates and it is my understanding that such a flexibility is reflected in the cost. All in all I had an excellent experience using Orange Auto Transport and would use them again should the need arise.
