Late delivery

The customer service at New World Auto was good, it's the contractors they handed off to for the actual delivery that left a lot to be desired. First of all, I didn't realize that they were going to outsource the task to a different company (InTransit) - I thought they ran their own trucks.

For the initial pickup, the driver calls me 20 minutes before he wants to pick up the car and asks me to be somewhere remote (since he's driving a big truck). I was expecting a call at least 24 hours in advance so I could plan ahead and have a ride back. Clearly that didn't work for me, so I had to re-schedule and meet him later that night at 10pm.

The main issue I ran into was with the delivery. I was promised that the car would be delivered by Aug 5th - it wasn't till Aug 11th (and tens of phone calls later) that my car was delivered. The delivery company kept making excuses (the driver is busy, we have too many deliveries, can't come into the city, etc.) and at one point they even stopped taking my calls. The contractor seems to be running a family run business and there was lack of professionalism in handling queries or providing feedback and clear estimates. My contact at New World Auto was actually more helpful, but I never received a callback from him either after I told him about the issue I was having.

As far as the car is concerned, everything looks fine and it drives fine, so no complaints there.

I paid 200 bucks more than another quote I received from a different company, but I never got the service I was expecting.
