Very Bad Service

In addition to all other issues the worst was that I received my car DAMAGED and no one is ready to pay. The driver was late by couple of days late to pick the car. After the car was downloaded/delivered I checked and since I didn’t find any dent I signed the receipt. But the moment the delivery truck turned around and I drove my car to residence I noted my car was making loud clicking noise. On going under the car I noticed that the car had been damaged where it was hooked to the trailer. I called the truck driver but he informed me that since I didn’t write the damage on the received receipt so they are not responsible.

On taking the car for repair I was told that car got damaged because it was incorrectly hooked to the trailer and the damage was worth $1317. Later I called the truck transport company who gave me there insurance company information. On contacting the insurance company I was told as follows:

1) The truck that was used to transport my car was not insured/covered under the policy (of the transport company).
2) Since my car was transported across states, customer (whose car was transported) can’t apply with the insurance company only Transporter (whose truck was used) can apply.
3) Transport company deductible is $1000 and therefore they will have to give that directly to the customer.

I have left couple of messages for the transporter but haven’t heard back from them since. The worst being that initially New Way had informed me that I had 10 days from delivery of the car to report/claim any damages to the car but today no one is ready to do anything.

Mike, As Indicated on the CONTRACT that you had signed we had mentioned that NEW way moving services is a BROKER and by law we CAN'T have an insurance. we had tried to resolve this issue for you with the carrier ANDREW"S trucking but you didnt really cooperate with us ont his issue. We do have all the e-mails and the corespondance saved, we are still willing to help you to fix your car and to bring it back to the original condition that it was upon pick up but all that will be paid by ANDREW"S trucking. Feel free to contact us back if you would need our assistance on that.
