My transport experience

Getting my quote and order processed was quick and easy online, and I was followed up with by a phone representative as well. I luckily did not have to get the car to Virginia by any specific date so when they told me the "earliest date" it could be transported I was fine with it. What I did not understand from my phone conversations or the information on the site is that there is no specific amount of days after the "earliest date" that it would be picked up.

I was slightly bothered after a week had passed and no emails had come to about the exact pick up date. When I called the girl on the phone was very nice and considerate and immediately tried to find a solution. She said it was entering dispatch the next day and I should expect an email in the next two days or so. I again did not get an email so I was worried again. I called again and nearly the same thing happened, but it was actually in dispatch at that time. I did finally get the confirmed information over the phone that day. Then the towing company, Yoder, who was dispatched to my order never came on the Tuesday that was originally stated to me by Nationwide.

I tried calling Nationwide and they gave me the trucking companies phone number. When I called Yoder the woman was a complete moron, almost like she was surprised a customer would ever dare call them because they will be there at some point. I told her that they were supposed to come on that day and she paused for a good 45 seconds and then just said No. It took me a while to get the information out of her but they did finally come pick up my car that Thursday.

They (Yoder) did not give me a specific time, and I work during the day so I kind of needed to know when to be home. I called and Nationwide gave me the truckers cell phone directly. I called him and he gave me a round about time and I asked him to please call 30 minutes before he got there. When he didn't call around the estimated time I called him and he was still a couple hours out. So I again said okay well please call 30 minutes before you get here, and he never did but I happened to be home at that point anyway.
The destination of the towing was a narrow road so I asked him to call the receiver of the car before going up a specific road and he again never did.

Overall at the end of all this, now knowing not to count on any specific date for the towing, my experience ended well. My car was safely transported for a low cost one way or the other. Nationwide Auto Transport is a great company, Yoder...well I hope you don't end up getting them as your trucking company, ever.
