Montway Auto Transport Is Unreliable

It took more than a month for Montway Auto Transport to find a competent transport driver to pick up and deliver my antique vehicle. The first transport driver was a liar and the second transport driver promised to make the pickup, but failed to show and never called to explain the no show. Montway was given a final third try and a very nice young man from Uzbekistan picked up and delivered the vehicle. If one is not in any kind of hurry, Montway may be OK, but the sales people and dispatchers Montway use, make promises and don't deliver, and call at the last minute to try to make arrangements. If one is retired, that may be fine, but when people work, the pushy dispatchers are a pain in the ass and are not customer friendly. I will have to be hard pressed to use Montway again.

Montway truly appreciates you taking the time to submit a review about your experience. Please note we estimate assigning a carrier within 1 to 5 business days from the first available date. We want our customers to be clear on these terms so they can make any necessary personal arrangements, we are transparent with the terms as they are on our website and in written communication thereafter. All service dates in the auto transport industry are estimated and cannot be guaranteed due to the dynamic and ever-changing driver schedules. Traffic delays, detours, speed limits, weather delays, mandatory rest stops, pickup/delivery client availability delays, weight station checkups, police inspections, truck breakdowns, driver's health issues, are just some of the issues that cannot be anticipated. We understand this is potentially inconvenient for customers. Thus the provided estimated dates could vary by several days. The customer's first available pickup date was 2/15/2017 in which we originally assigned a carrier on 2/16/2017 within the 1-5 business days. At that point, the customer did receive a dispatch notification that gave the customer an estimated pick up date of 2/17. The carrier did arrive on the estimated pick up date of 2/17 but due to the fact that the vehicle did not brake and some mechanical issues, that he was not equipped for as we were unaware the customers vehicle had this issue. Being that we were not informed of this prior to the carrier accepting the load to transport the vehicle we were unable to inform him the condition of the vehicle to confirm if he could transport it. We then were going to assign another driver on 2/18/2017 to pick up the vehicle on estimated date of 2/19 and deliver 2/20 but, we were then informed that the person that was releasing the vehicle left the country and we had to wait and put the order on hold until the person releasing the vehicle was back in the country. On 2/27/2017 we were told to take the order off hold as the vehicle could be transported now. On 2/28/2017 we assigned another carrier and there were some issues and the assigned driver canceled. We then dispatched the vehicle on 3/6/2017 and the customer had requested certain delivery restrictions that this carrier could not meet so this carrier canceled. Then on 3/9/2017, we dispatched to the last driver in which he gave us the estimated pick up date of 3/10/2017 and estimated delivery of 3/11/2017. The carrier did pick up and deliver on both estimated dates. We care about our customers and try to provide the best service possible. We ask that at this time if the customer has any further questions/concerns to reach out to us directly as we would be more than happy to assist you. Thank you for your time.
