Short answer: Don't believe what they tell you. Find another 5 star company.

Long answer:
I've tried multiple transport companies and I finally decided to use Mercury because of what they promised. Initially I had a contract with another company and Daniel at Mercury promised that he can get the car transported earlier. I called on Thursday and was hoping to find someone to transport the car by Sunday at the latest. I was told that Mercury can do it. And to sweeten the deal, Daniel offered lower the agency fee from 150 to 100. He also mentioned that they are 5 star company and that they are A from BBB (I later thecked, they are B not A). So I canceled my previous transport agency and tried Mercury. I was very explicit in that I'll pay 1000 if it's transport by Sunday but after Sunday I'll be only willing to pay 900 since then I'd rather just take my time for a good deal. I was sold multiple times that the dispatcher Brian will call me before the end of the day which I never did hear from. I had to call them back every single day to check the status. When I felt that they would not be able to deliver their promise and wanted to cancel the contract, they did this "let my manager talk to you" thing and tried to play the nice guy (the manager was Jimmy) and he promised that if it doesn't happen on Sunday, he'll make sure I get my car for 900.
Of course, as you might have guessed they were not able to deliver the promise. Eventually I was told that the car will be picked up on Tuesday and that the price would be $1050. I can understand the competitive nature for car transport and that it's a betting process and I can understand that if I want my car transported quickly I need to pay more but why go through all the promise to deceive the customer? This is worst than car salesmen that you hear about in the stories. They would promise the world to get your business and then try their best to get as much money as possible. So when I called back and told them that I was sold the agency fee would be lowered by $50 they said oh they will lower it from $175 to $125 instead of from $150 to $100. The price mysteriously went from $150 to $175. And they did speakerphone trick to imply that they had always been having $175. Look, $25 is nothing in the overall scheme of things but honesty and integrity is important in customer relationship. If you want more money, say so and customers can decide. I tried other companies and that at least they don't promise the world and then lie about it. I have more respect for them and will only do business with those real 5-star businesses.
Oh my car was picked up late and then the driver because he needed to drop off another car in Sacramento refuses to drop off my car earlier even if it's possible (that's understandable as he wants to minimize gas but still annoying). In the end, the driver was courteous and I really can't blame him for anything. Mostly it's Mercury that I'm upset with.
