Over quoted range, but still a fair price.

Charlie initially quoted me $860 - $960 for the shipment with a delivery date no earlier than 16 July. He contacted me with a couple trucks that ended up having a delivery date just before the 16th. After that there was a long time before there was another truck available. It wasn't picked up until the 19th and was delivered until the 28th. The price ended up being $1045 with the broker fee. He took $45 off his fee because it took so much time. I'd knock him more for the late date, but I can't be sure it just wasn't a lack of availability of vehicles. Also, the delivery would have been a day earlier had someone not hit the delivery truck. My car had no damage and worked as it did when I left it. I had a friend going through another broker and their truck never even showed up. So, in the end, I got my car shipped at a better price than a different friend who shipped his across the country. Charlie was courteous and apologetic about the timeline. I got my car shipped at a fair price, just not what I was initially quoted.
