Joann at Magic Carpet was terrific. This was my first time shipping a car rather than driving it myself. My requirement was for the car to be at its destination sometime during the week when I would be at my destination. She arranged for someone to accept the car and deliver it during the week specified.

My only issue was not with her but somewhere within the front office. The person transporting the vehicle had a breakdown shortly after leaving. He called the main office, who did not contact Joann to let her know about the issue. Only by texting the driver when the car didn't arrive on the expected day did I become aware of the issue. I promptly told Joann about the problem; she found another driver within a few days. The car arrived at the end of my delivery window instead of at the beginning, and it cost more money than originally quoted ($125 more, all told). I was willing to pay the extra money to the driver for safe delivery within my schedule window.

While I do not criticize Magic Carpet for this exclusively, one caution I would give to others looking at car transport services: since these companies are brokers and do not have control over the drivers (who are independent contractors), you should anticipate that the money paid to the driver may vary from your original quote. When you have specific transport or delivery requirements, expect to pay more to ensure you receive the priority and service you want.

Sam, please accept my apologies for the miscommunication but we did provide you with delivery of your vehicle within your time constraints. Once I found out about the carrier breakdown, I did find you another carrier, for more money, sdmetimes that does happen although infrequently. In the end, glad your car made it to Colorado. All the best, JoAnn
