I am resubmitting this review because I received a phone call from Stephanie explaining that my first review reviewed the carrier more than Magic Carpet. Magic Carpet, and Stephanie in particular, were prompt and polite in general, and the quote was accurate and honored without any problems. My car was shipped a day late out of San Antonio and arrived a day or two earlier than anticipated in Somerville. However, my experience was quite frustrating. I received a call on Thursday 6/17 saying that the carrier was in Houston and would be in San Antonio between 12 and 5 that afternoon. I waited all afternoon and received no call back with any progress report. I finally called at 4:30 because I had to leave home at 5, and I was told that the carrier could not come until late that night or early the next morning. I told the Magic Carpet rep (I don't know her name) that I was not happy to have wasted a half day waiting, and her answer was simply that there was nothing they could do about that. All I needed was an apology, but I never got one. My car was finally picked up after I waited for 3 hours in a parking lot the next morning. I realize that this is the carrier's issue, but I contracted with Magic Carpet and paid Magic Carpet, so I feel it is appropriate to mention this in Magic Carpet's review. I did not hear from Magic Carpet from 11:30 on Thursday morning until 7 PM on Friday evening, when my car had been gone gone for 7 hours already. Stephanie was very sympathetic when i told her of my difficult 12 hours waiting for the carrier. And when I hung up with her, I found an email from Magic Carpet, clearly something generated by a computer, saying that they were happy to inform me that my car had been picked up! Although i realize that Magic Carpet has no control over the carrier once they find him for me, I did expect more communication between them and the carrier after the deal was made. Maybe that was my misunderstanding. I would use them again, and I would request Steohanie again, but next time I'll know more about the process and what to expect.

Leslie, i apologize you didnt feel that the driver did a good job, however our drivers are all on estimates. I am happy to hear that i was actually able to make things a little reassuring for you and that you would use my service again if you had to. Take care.
