I am a very satisfied customer of Greg Bailey and Magic Carpet.  I called three companies for quotes, with the thought that I would chose the middle quote.  But I chose the lowest because of the very positive impression Greg made.  He lived up to that first impression throughout the process.  His communication, by e-mail and phone, was excellent.  He turned down one or two transport offers well above his quote.  After a few quiet days, a carrier asked for a little more, and I readily authorized an additional $100.  We were still well below the quotes from other brokers.   Once I said "go," things happened with disconcerting swiftness.  Not a bad thing!  But the guy at the pick-up end and I both wondered if the whole deal would have come undone if one of us happened to be in a cellphone dead zone.  Greg and I negotiated and closed the deal via cellphone while I was cycling through the hollows of the local mountains!  BTW, it probably helped that I was patient and flexible.  From Transport Reviews, it seems that some unhappy customers have too-tight schedules and/ or unrealistic expectations.
