Well It started out well considering the first company I dealt with were really unprofessional (viking auto transport). I felt confident that this company would be reliable considering all the positive reviews..... WROOOOONG!........Don't get me wrong Stephanie was very professional and had a great personality over the phone, but once she got what she wanted from me (deposit), she was unreachable for the remainder of this nightmare. She gave me an estimated pick-up time of 1-7 days. I called on the seventh day only to be taken cared of by someone else as Stephanie was apparently too busy. She was supposed to call me back but never did. Now on day number 9, heard all the excuses... easter week-end, difficult route (not like the car is in Alaska), bla bla bla. After calling on a daily basis with no update whatsoever, Michelle ended up taking care of me, again, another well trained winning personality. This time she tells me that she thinks she found a driver for $855 (orig. quote $780 total with deposit included). $855 plus the deposit equaling $1030. I told her I would think about it and decided to call her back. Needless to say my car was coming from a dealership that was going to start charging me $40 a day to keep my car on their property. Also the fact that my car has to be insured for just sitting there, hoping to get picked up.... oh and did I forget the fact that I have to take a cab to go to work considering I can't ask for rides from colleagues every day. Anyways This is how they get you. You wait and wait until you become committed and so frustrated that you end up paying more money because you just want your car to come considering all the money your spending while waiting for it.
HERE IS WHAT KILLED IT FOR ME!!! I have a truck driver friend that has access to a Dispatch software (basically the software they use to post your car on to have truck drivers pick which car they would like to pick-up for the right price). To my surprise my car was listed on there at $780 for the truck driver(not counting the remaining $250 that they make for themselves) ReallY???......So she had it listed on for a total of $1030 even thought I had told her I was going to think about it. It's like she knew my back was against the wall and that I wouldn't have a choice but to spend all that extra money. Very sneaky there! Aren't we?
When I called Michelle back, she probably thought i was going to agree to the surcharge. Once I told her that I had accessed the Dispatch website and realized what she had done, she was at loss for words. (I would describe it as a deer in headlights). All she could say was: "Do you want me to bring the price back down?" I canceled my business with this supposedly number 1 company and glad I did. Too bad, they seemed really nice, but that's only a facade.
For anyone out there having the same troubles, this is what I understand after getting burned twice. DON"T RELY ON REVIEWS ONLY!!! A company that charges you a low deposit will pay the truck drivers the remaining of the "quote"per se. Meaning the truck driver is more likely to pick up the car when the broker don't charge a high deposit. This company originally quoted me at $780 minus the $250 deposit..... = $530. No wonder nobody wanted to pick my car up. Stick to a company with a low deposit, $250 is way to much. Anyways, hopefully the third time is the charm. You live you learn!
The only thing MAGICAL about this company, is the invisible bullcrap they feed you!!!

Frank, i am so sorry to hear that you didnt feel that your experience with our company went very well. However, i do see that there was communication to you and that Michelle also tried working with you with what the driver was requesting to get your vehicle picked up. Unfortunately in this industry we cant make every customer 100% happy, due to some routes are a little more difficult then others. When placing your order i did explain to you that there are times that drivers request additional money that you are not subject to take it but they can give us a offer if they have to go out of their way to make your request work for them and for them to also make a profit. However, if you decline the offer, No Big deal we continue looking for another carrier at that current rate. Also we do not gauarntee anything in this industry either due to the fact that we are at the mercy of the drivers. We do our very best to get a carrier assigned within the 7 business days after placing the order. So again i apologize you didnt feel that you recieved great customer service. However, 95% of my customers have nothing but great things to say about me and i feel i do the best i can for every customer of mine. Hope all goes well with you and your vehicle transport. Take Care.
