I had 2003 Eurovan shipped from Ohio to Washington state. Quoted price was $1080. Actual cost was $1640. I contacted transport company in early August for a mid-September delivery. My vehicle was not picked up until mid-September, so I had to rent a vehicle (additional $280) because my vehicle had not been delivered when I arrived in Washington state. The transport company couldn't explain why my vehicle was not picked up for more than 30 days, and why it cost more than $500 in additional fees to have it shipped. Said they thought the drivers might not know what a VW Eurovan was (size, weight, etc). I provided the transport company with dimensions for my vehicle, after waiting 2 weeks for vehicle to be picked up. The whole process took way too long, and cost way too much. Sales gal was very nice on the phone, and seemed to be trying to be helpful, but the end result was unsatisfactory to me.
