I have shipped a few cars in the past few years and this was definitely my worst experience. The broker themselves were somewhat satisfactory, but the communication between the driver and the broker was horrible. At that point I wish the broker would have chosen another carrier service or I should have just looked elsewhere. I understand that the driver is more at fault for the poor customer service and obviously the thousands of dollars of damages to the car, but that is what reflects poorly on the broker. If you take the responsibility of representing your company and handling the responsibility of being in charge of the driver, I expect the one who is being paid to represent the transaction to take care of any inconviences. I say "inconvience" with sincerity, but do not take it lightly. If I knew all the trouble the trouble this would have caused me, I would have never have shipped the car in the first place. As the saying goes, "If you want something done right, you just have to do it yourself." That is the only benefit that I can say gleaned from this experience. I can only hope that the situation can be corrected.
