Oh man, I don't even know where to start with this one. First let me start with Linear Transport. I received a quote from them for $895 open trailer or $1175 enclosed trailer (I still have the original email). I agree to fill out the contract and send it back to Damien, the first person who I talked to. I fill out the contract and notice that it makes no mention on there of whether the car will be transporter by open or enclosed trailer, so I talk to Damien and he assured me that in his system that it is set to enclosed and to just send the contract back along with a $200 deposit. So I figured that the guy was telling the truth since there was no mention of open or enclosed trailer on the contract, I send it back to him. A few days before the scheduled pickup date and I called to see if they had found a trucking company to move my vehicle. I was transferred from Damien to Kyle at this point, and was told that they have not. I asked him to confirm that it was an enclosed trailer that they were searching for, at which point he told me that they had put it in as an open trailer from the beginning. I told him that was not the originally agreement, to which he begins to cut me off and lecture me on how to properly read the contract. I have the contract, and it says no mention of open vs enclosed trailer...but Damien had assured me from the beginning that it was in the system as an enclosed trailer. I have never talked to a more stubborn and rude person picking up phones in the customer service. He was talking to me as if I was working for him and not vice versa. Anyway, he told me that to make up for this he would give me $50 off the deposit. At this point, I was tired of arguing with Kyle and just wanted me vehicle picked up. After calling/emailing them, I eventually get an email with the trucking companies name. From here on, I lost all contact with Linear transport...they're the ones that were supposed to set everything up, and not just give me the name of the company and say here you go, set it up yourself. I get a hold of Kyle about why they screwed me over on the whole enclosed/open trailer deal, and he got all angry and and brought up the contract again...and needless to say, I never got the $50 back. The car was picked up 5 days late from NV...went to CA..sat there for 2 weeks because they couldn't leave until after labor day and finally the trucking company made their way east ward. I got the car exactly 32 days after the truck was supposed to pick up my car. Unacceptable! Linear should have asked for this company's schedule and should have known that they won't leave for another 2 weeks. I honestly have never ever had such a horrible time dealing with a company as bad as this one. They DO NOT take car of their customers. Once they get their $200 they put you on the back burner and could care less. Don't expect a call from them to tell you what's going on with your order because they only time they did is when I called to figure out what was going on and why I haven't heard back from them. Please save yourself the trouble of wondering where your car is and go with a more reputable company. I paid $35,000 for a car only to receive it more than a month later, as it sat in some guys driveway for 2 weeks and came on an open trailer instead of an enclosed one like we had agreed, and what I had paid for!
