this is my second review here of intercity-lines transport co.... the first one was in October of 2011.... that other one was all glowing as well...

in my opinion, intercity-lines is really the only enclosed transport company to go with if you have a high value/rare vehicle... also, jay leno is a satisfied user and he endorses them for free...

at the same time I've contacted intercity lines, I have also contacted 2 other 'high end' [supposedly] well advertised transport companies... one never even replied, the other - 'reliable-carriers' - quoted me a fair price but couldn't specify a pick-up/delivery date down to even a couple of weeks timeframe... they also ignored some follow up e-mail replies in which I've tried to find out more info on their process and time window transport policies...
I then looked up via google the reviews for reliable carriers and that was all I needed to know... whew, am I glad I didn't go with that company... evidently, they only care about the big time company [car magazines, commercials, etc.] long term contracts they have... do some googling and you'll even find their own drivers and ex- employees complaining about them, apart from mostly unsatisfied/angry individual clients... do NOT fall for their slick, deceptive tv ads they air constantly during televised big time car auctions....

intercity lines on the other hand, remains in constant contact and replies to any inquiries very promptly... the rates are also among the lowest and they have state of the art car transport rigs... most are self contained with sleeping, shower and cooking facilities in their enormous, sleeper cabs so instead of leaving the truck at the parking lot of some truckers' motels, they remain with the truck/trailer at all times... much less chance of theft or vandalism of the vehicles that way...

the carrier part of their rigs are also very high end and easy on the transported vehicles' suspension and overall well being... the lifts/ramps are truly something to behold....

the manager/coordinator for the company's transport - jim bergeron - is also very helpful, courteous and replies promptly to multiple inquiries... a great sign that a company hasn't outgrown its success....

this time, my driver was roy sewell and he did a primo job on transporting my custom ride [4x major magazine featured car, incl. 'rod & custom' mag btw] just like the previous driver team - of bill and virginia duran - did about 2.5 years before....
he remained in contact with me via phone and all went as well as one could hope for...

my car's pick up was one day early than projected but he first inquired whether this would work for me... the delivery date was also one or two days earlier than originally projected and again, he inquired before hand whether that will work...

upon delivery, the vehicle was without any damage incurred by transporting process whatsoever and roy did a very thorough job with pre-pick up inspection noting even the insignificant mars/imperfections on my vehicle, apart from the small stuff I've told him that is already there.... e.g. a small crack on the passenger window, a slight scrape on the chromed front bumper, etc... he even caught some tiny road chips and indeed, all that stuff was there prior to pick-up...

I'm incredibly satisfied with this company and as long as they keep up this level of service, i'll stay with them and will vouch for them as long as i'll ever need to use an enclosed transport for high value, pristine vehicles... I rate them with highest possible score....

you need to be aware of only one thing that might slightly inconvenience you... the high end rigs used by intercity lines drivers are state of the art and... enormously long and tall due to this... they of course can't drive on parkways nor routes/roads with low bridges/overhangs... nor make tight turns onto smaller side streets... if you happen to live on a street with a tight turn and/or directly accessed via route with a low overhang/overpass, you might have to schedule either the pick-up or delivery at the nearest parking lot, such as your local mall, mini mall, or any facility with a large lot/space.... I've had to use my local staples/mini mall lot, about 4 minutes from my place - to facilitate the delivery both times because I live on a tiny, dead end street with a very tight and narrow turn from a larger road.... but that's the case with any transport company which uses high end transport rigs so not exclusive to this excellent company....

thanks roy, jim and intercity lines, you can count on my business and stellar reviews as long as you remain at such high level of services rendered....

jerzy....
