I was considering driving a 18 year old car from western NY to riverside county CA, I found a clearinghouse of brokers online and decided to try it. Many calls and e-mails later I went with I move auto based on a reasonable price and the time the salesperson took to thoroughly explain the process. Of brokers and driving companies. The number of calls and e-mails you get is overwhelming, but I took a leap of faith, and they came through. The pick up was on the day promised, and delivery was earlier than broker quote of-7-10 days mine was Friday night to tues morning. I received trucking company contact & phoned 1day before and was told driver name & number, he called to set up a time and we together figured a best place to pickup since in front of my house wouldn’t work. Driver was great at communicating. You have to be flexible to do this- I saw reviews from others who made personal travel plans tightly around car transport. DONT do it! You really need to be flexible to have a good experience. Must be a ton of logistics for then and personalities of the 10 or so vehicles the truck and driver are dealing with not to mention weather and driving and delivery conditions. I paid exactly the price quoted, used a US post office money order for COD. No issues. & Tipped my driver on both ends. He was a hard worker and very professional. My car is worth about $700 and I paid $1100 to transport it prob seems dumb but the old thing has a ton of life in it and better than rotting in the rust belt. Donit as a gift to you! Good luck all! Thanks I move auto!
