I was contacted by Dan & had a lengthy discussion concerning the original comments in my review & was asked to revise them based on his explanation of the events. First contact was with John Anthony who quoted me a total price of $400 & a pickup date of 8/12 & delivery on 8/14. I was later called by 'Dan', who informed me the two openings on the truck chosen had already been filled without the truck information being updated & my job had been double posted on (a board?), therefore, in order to expedite the delivery asap, they would have to charge an additional $95 (which I did approve)! Price then changed from $400 total, to $95 to Heartland & $400 to the transport driver to total $495. Pick up & delivery were both two days later than originally promised (8/14 & 8/16) due to the truck availability information not being updated & the double posting, neither of which I had any control & according to Dan, neither did Heartland. I, however, will give credit where credit is due, Dan with Heartland did keep me informed throughout the entire process even if things didn't go as originally promised! There was actually no hurry for the pick up or delivery, just aggravating trying to schedule the delivery around other scheduled events based on failed promised times. I do understand things sometime do not go as planned, but as a retired Mgr of a major Corp., I never charged extra for not fulfilling my promise. All in all, I guess I should say since the car was delivered same week in good condition, it was OK. Again, giving credit where credit is due,the transport driver was EXCELLENT!!! He took pictures prior to loading the car, after loading the car & requested an inspection of the car on delivery - Classic Cruizers were EXCELLENT TRANSPORT!
