signed a contract for a certain price including a military discount and as the time approached they said they couldn't do it for that price in my timeline so I'd either have to pay more or have it shipped at a later date. scheduled delivery was the 12th but not rec'd until the 21st. never rec'd any updates along the way- would find out the day of that there was a new delivery date and only after we called. they became very rude and unprofesional when we refused to pay more and told them we expected them to honor the terms of the contract. they in turn were outraged that we were being so unreasonable in expecting them to do so.

Good morning everyone I have to respond and place the facts before you so hopefully you can fully understand the position I was put in by this client and how I did my best to make this move seamless as I always do. The original price quoted was for a mid size car which the client changed to an SUV thereby increasing the carrier price. This is a direct quote from the carrier and has nothing to do with my company . SUVs are always listed as more money by every carrier . The client did not like the increased price and then requested a military discount as her daughter is in the service. I said we would do our best but that may not be possible. I have and always will support the military applying a discount when at all possible those that have done business with me know I have donated my time and never charged any money for our soldiers deployed but please dont insist on a discount if youre not really needing one. Its a bit disrespectful to those that are and truly do need our help. Moving to New Jersey does not qualify. Trying to meet her request to be picked up on and dropped off on a specific day I was able to secure a carrier at the increased price all of $50.00 due to it now being an SUV . Mrs Merrigan who is not my client her daughter is called screaming at us that we were holding her hostage and how dare we not honor our pricing. I was simply shocked at her manner but calmly explained to her that the carrier requested the additional 50 for it being an SUV and yet she was not obligated to accept that particular carrier and I would continue to look for another carrier. In fact if she would like I would cancel the entire contract and she could use another company if she wanted to. She insisted on this particular carrier because he was able to meet the time constraints and at that time I knew there was no point in continuing with her. At this point I gave her all the carrier information and told her she was free to continue on her own but not as my client. She made all the arrangements with the carrier and accepted responsibility of acting as her own broker. I never charged her credit card and never continued on as her broker. There are some in this world who will never be satisfied no matter how good of service they are provided. They will always seek out a discount or a dispute. For those of you that dont know I work seven days a week and Im always professional even outside of normal business hours. I go a great distance for my clients as each and every one of them is a direct reflection on myself and my company. You can read that in all the prior reviews I am proud of. I wish you all a good day and remember to take good care of the hard working carriers and brokers that are doing their best for you every day. Ellen Kealey, Gold Star Transport 919-763-9692
