Want inexpensive transport from Gold Star? Prepare yourself for rude and misleading sales people and dispatchers. I was pestered by the salesperson (Jon) until I relented, figuring his persistence would be indicative of the level of attention I received once they had my deposit, which of course you've guessed was naive. Once they had my deposit money there was no follow up on pickup, which was promised at the earliest September 3rd and the latest September 5th. Today is the 8th and they still can't give me an exact date for pickup. Shame on my for not hiring an attorney to review the contract which states that they have 10 days leeway to pickup my vehicle. If you're reading this, keep that in mind. If I had known this would be the case, I would have gone with the dealer's trusted transport company, who was only a few hundred dollars more. Based upon the reviews on this site I trusted my salesperson to give me an accurate pickup time and had no reason not to trust him. I suspect the positive reviews are either (1) from people who got lucky and actually got what they were promised, (2) don't mind rude treatment and crappy customer service or (3) come from fake clients. If you go with these guys, PLAN FOR THE WORST SCENARIO and expect them to take the full 10 days to pick your vehicle up AFTER the day they promise. I'm making payments on a car I don't even have in my possession. Had I gone with the dealer's transport company, my wife would be driving her car TODAY. Instead, it sits at the dealer lot waiting for Goldstar contracted drivers. If you're paying attention GOLDSTAR, listen up. Have you every heard of "UNDER promise and OVER deliver?" People like that. Do it, and you'll have raving fans- right after you fire your rude front line telephone people. If you want to restore my trust, get me my car this week. No excuses. Find a way and get it done.
