Got quote from website, booked service and paid $185.62 by credit card. The BOL was e-mailed to me in Idaho. Forwarded BOL to Iowa to point of shipment via EBAY seller contact. BOL was censored out of communication by EBAY. By the time I got that news from EBAY, Freight Center had sent Old Dominion to pick up merchandise and driver made out a BOL on site. Called Old Dominion same day to stop pick up or send BOL, but to late. Nothing they could do. Merchandise arrived in Idaho COD for $259.25. After hours on the phone to both Old Dominion and Freight Center trying to get the BOL corrected I was offered either pay Freight Center additional fees of $137.90 to ship to a "residence because I happen to live where my company is" and have the BOL corrected making the new total from Freight Center $323.52 or pay the Old Dominion COD of $259.25 and a 10 percent $18.56 cancellation fee to Freight Center for a total of $277.81. Final straw was friendly warning from Claude at Freight Center that Old Dominion would be adding storage fees if bill wasn't paid. I paid the bill, again!

I have had a number of deliveries made through this outfit but this was a fatal wreck for them. IMO charges of $137.50 is unreasonable to fix a Bill of Lading and the residence thing was totally trumped up. My business has been at this location for 35 years, has a dock and lift and received hundreds of shipments. Once it's your fault, twice it's mine. I'll be going elsewhere.
