I only dealt with one person. I was promised one price from a location and when that location to ship from was nearer to the destination location than the original location, the price increased. I used them because I was originally from Connictut and I thought that I would be treated fairly. I really feel sorry for this individual for how he has to go through his "show to justify his changing of pricing. I heard the story from the truckers side that the broker agreed on a price with the trucker that was higher than what I was supposed to pay before the broker changed the price with me. The broker said the increase was because of the taxes, insurance, and fuel sur-charges. The trucker told me that he never asked for a "surcharge" and the broker never told him that the vehicle was "inop" when he contracted for the ship.

Charges along the east coast for diesel had held steady for the prior three months prior to August and now three months later they are pretty much the same. In order for me to get my vehicle from the trucker, I had to promise the broker that I would not dispute the charges on my visa card or the broker would cancel the visa card and make me pay everything in cash. He then talked about the $500.00 in fuel rebates on visa cards. With that, you have to first pay $9.95 up front and you have to deal only with one gas station. Once you go on line to look at the fine print, you find out that there are a lot of hoops to jump through in order to receive your "$25.00" Visa Gift Card until the full value is received (that means you have to track these things and submit them each and every month. Pretty hard to keep up with. The broker feels that he is doing you a favor with this gas card, i.e., getting you to submit these things each month and I have yet to do it because of the fine print on the website. I had planned to send a letter to "A" expressing my sorrow on how he conducts his business but from the other posts on this website, I see I would be wasting my time. His actions and how he does business will not change and many other people will suffer financially. I hope his wife and children appreciate how he must suffer mentally providing for them in this manner. I hope he can resolve his business practices. It is sad but with brokers, he is not the only one that is guilty of these practices.

what suffering did this person do, he was charged based on the signed contract nothing more, no one promised him that he would not have to do anything to redeem the complimentary gas redemption certificate, the quote was very clear about this, I guess that laziness is a virtue for this person.
