I purchased a car for my wife's and my 50 th wedding anniversery coming in November. The car was manufactured in our birth year.
I contacted three carriers to transport my 1940 Ford convertible from Portland Oregon to Wilson NY. Not only was the quotation from Passport competitive(about $500 higher than the lowest quote) but the service personel were very knowledgable and informative. John Scharff explained the pick up and delivery process. He also pointed out that the car would be enclosed and protected from potential drips and spills from another car above mine in the trailer. The lower quote mentioned above was for transport in an open, unprotected trailer. I had occassion to contact the service department a second time and dealt with John Kay who was also very helpful and professional.
I received an e-mail which included a tracking number to follow the progress of the shipment across country. This was very reassuring that everything was being taken care of during the trip.

My biggest surprise came seven days later when Edger the driver of truck 349 contacted me to set up a Sunday appointment to deliver my car. We established a time and then Edger called again Sunday morning to confirm the time; which he actually met. Edger is the hardest working, most concientious. safety cautious, caring employee I have encoutered in many, many years. It was so nice to meet a professional of this caliber, that the receipt of my car became secondary. The car is great, but my contact with Edger and the total experience with Passport was TERRIFIC!!
